From Philadelphia (PA Turnpike I76) - Take Exit 247 (Harrisburg East). At toll plaza, continue straight on I283 North. Follow I283 North to I83 South. Take exit for I83 South. Continue on I83 to 2nd Street Exit (Exit 43 - Old Exit 23). Go down ramp to red light. Continue through red light onto 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street to Chestnut Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street. Continue on Chestnut Street to 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left onto Walnut Street. Continue on Walnut Street to Walnut Street Parking Garage (on left across from Federal Building).

From Pittsburgh (PA Turnpike I76) - Take Exit 242 (Harrisburg West). At toll plaza, continue onto I83 North. Take I83 North to 2nd Street Exit (Exit 43 - Old Exit 23). Take exit ramp to red light. Continue through red light onto 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street to Chestnut Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street. Continue on Chestnut Street to 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left onto Walnut Street. Continue on Walnut Street to Walnut Street Parking Garage (on left across from Federal Building).

From I81 (Scranton/Allentown/Carlisle) - Take I81 North/South to Exit 67-Old Exit 23 (Cameron Street US 22/Route 230). Continue on Cameron Street (Route 230) to Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Continue on Market Street to 5th Street. Turn right onto 5th Street. Get into left lane. Turn left onto Walnut Street. Continue on Walnut Street to Walnut Street Parking Garage (on left across from Federal Building).

From Williamsport, Sunbury, State College etc. - If traveling on Routes 11-15, at intersection of 11-15 and Interstate Route 81, take 81 North across Susquehanna River to Interstate Route 83 South. If traveling on Routes 322-22, exit onto Interstate Route 81 North to Interstate Route 83 South. Take 83 South approx. 8 miles to Exit 43. Take Exit 43 onto 2nd Street. Go through the traffic light at bottom of the exit and continue north on 2nd Street under the railroad bridge to the third traffic light at Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street and travel to the second traffic light at 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th street. Strawberry Square is the white building on the left.

From York and I83 South (Baltimore/Washington DC) - Take I83 North to 2nd Street Exit (Exit 43-Old Exit 23). Take exit ramp to red light. Continue through red light onto 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street to Chestnut Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street. Continue on Chestnut Street to 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left onto Walnut Street. Continue on Walnut Street to Walnut Street Parking Garage (on left across from Federal Building).

Walnut Street Garage - After parking in Walnut Street Parking Garage, take elevator to floor level marked Strawberry Arcade. Go up steps, turn left, and take long corridor to Food Court (opposite direction of Harrisburg Hilton). Take escalator to lobby. At lobby, walk to your left and look for glass doors on your right to enter PA Insurance Department. Sign in and get a visitor's pass on the ground floor.  Go back the hall and type the floor you are visiting on one of the elevator keypads and proceed to the assigned elevator. Exit elevator and use telephone to contact the department office you wish to visit.

Other Parking - Limited metered street parking, with a limit of two to four hours, is available on Walnut, 4th, and 3rd Streets. There are also garages at 5th and Market Streets across from the Train/Bus Station, at 2nd and Chestnut Streets across from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and at 4th and Chestnut Streets, also across from the Train/Bus Station.

Amtrak - Amtrak provides convenient daily service from Lancaster, Paoli, and Philadelphia via its Keystone Service. The Harrisburg train station is three blocks from the Strawberry Square Office.

Bus Service - Greyhound, Trailways and several other private bus lines provide daily service from many smaller communities not serviced by Amtrak as well as the larger communities serviced by Amtrak. The Harrisburg bus station is three blocks from the Strawberry Square Office.
